| The Ayurveda assessment of balance and imbalance does
not simply identify the gross physical abnormality and match up drugs
to a symptom. This is because people can have the same disease for
different reasons. For example, ten people could walk into a doctor's
office with a headache and have it for ten different reasons. Likewise
not everyone has infertility for the same reasons. |
| Ayurveda evaluation determines the imbalances in the
functioning modes of the body. These underlying imbalances are the
root causes of a condition and must be removed if real healing is
to occur. By determining the causal imbalances at the basis of a disorder,
the Ayurveda Health Consultant can address the fundamental source
of ill health in the individual. |
| Arshadhara's program for chronic conditions
provides the most comprehensive set of natural recommendations available
today to address the true causes of infertility. These therapies not
only effectively remove the imbalances at the basis of chronic disorders
but also have no significant side-effects. The goal of this Ayurveda
approach is to enliven the body's natural healing and self-repair
ability not only to help restore fertility, but also to prevent disorders
and create the highest state of health and well-being. |
 |
| According to Ayurveda, the body builds the essence
of reproductive tissue function, sperm and ova, through a process
that involves proper sequential functioning of all seven of its major
dhatus. Reproductive tissue function is at the end of this seven-step
sequential transformation process. |
| This means production of sperm and ova requires the
good health of all the other tissues in the body. Lack of nourishment,
or blockage of proper transformations, in any of the seven tissues
could result in disruption of reproductive tissue function. For this
reason the comprehensive natural treatment approach described below
is fundamental to restoring fertility in human functioning. |

In Ayurveda, migraine is very similar to
ardhavabhedaka, a vata dosha disorder. There is another condition
described in Ayurveda, the ardhaavabheda. However, ardhaavabheda only
refers to the one-sided headache and does not encompass migraine completely.
According to Ayurvedic principles, migraine is a tridosha disorder,
i.e. vitiation in any of the three doshas – vata, pitta or kapha
– can cause migraines. Out of the three doshas, pittadosha is
the most prominent factor. |
| Pittadosha causes the dilation of the blood vessels,
which causes the onset of a migraine attack. |
| The treatment of ardhavabhedaka by Ayurveda follows
a very systematic synergic pattern. The treatment is a three-point
process, which is as follows : |
 |
Controlling the rebounding of the migraine
attack |
 |
Reduce the exposure to triggering factors |
 |
Medication to prevent the future attacks |
| When migraine treatment is done only through allopathic
or other forms of medication, then there may be a chance of rebounding
in the future. Also, most medication cannot totally eliminate the
migraine condition from the body. Ayurveda aims not only removing
the severity of the migraine attack, but also prevents the recurrence
of attacks in the future. |
| In ayurveda, this condition is called medoroga.
Obesity is caused by excessive fat accumulation in the body. It leads
to serious health hazard affecting the functions of the vital organs
like heart, liver and kidneys. It might also give way to diabetes.
Nidana Parivarjana is the foremost and very important principle of
the Ayurvedic therapy. It has a great importance in the management
and also in the prevention of various fatal diseases. |
 |
| When a person consumes more calories than he burns
up, then the excess calories get stored in the form of fat or adipose
tissues, causing obesity. The Sthaulya Rogi (obese person) should
avoid the causative factors of obesity, such as- Not exerting physically
or lake of exercises, Sleeping in daytime (the afternoon), The diet,
which cause an increase in the Kapha Dosha, Life styles, which cause
an increase in the Kapha Dosha, Exessive intake of foods, which are
difficult for digestion, such as consuming sweet, cold and unctuous
food contents in excessive quantity, Not indulging in copulation,
Enjoying happiness always. |

Paralysis is defined as the loss of muscle
movement and coordination in some part of the body. The loss of movement
of muscles occur in systems of muscles, such as hand muscles, leg
muscles, facial muscles, etc. leading to paralysis in that particular
region. Ayurveda regards pakshavadha as a vataja, i.e. a disorder
caused due to imbalance of the vata, the air element of the human
body. Vata dosha is responsible for the proper coordination of all
voluntary movements in the human body. |
| A block in the proper movement of the vatadosha can
bring about pakshavadha in the person. |
| Paralysis is always caused due to the impairment of
the central nervous system, i.e. the brain and the spinal cord, or
due to the impairment of the peripheral nervous system, i.e. the system
of nerves radiating outwards from the brain and the spinal cord. |
